I am fully open to gain as much wisdom and inspiration as I can. I have an awesome mentor who was key in helping me prove that I belong in the creative industry. Mentors work.
How Did You Break Into The Industry / Your First Job
I honestly was very fortunate to have recruiter who thougth I would be an asset to the company. We stayed in touch for over a year through phone calls and email. She found a way for me to get into the door with the intention of developing wihtin the company in areas that I found intersting and had a passion to work. I then took it upon myself to choose two mentors. They helped me establish myself within the agency and were the architects behind a huge undertaking on my part that put me in front of the Chief Creative Officer. It was then up to me to prove whether or not I was fit for the position. No easing into it. I had to run with the big dogs or leave the block. The rest is history. I thank my mentors for allowing me to take a chance to prove my talent and passion.
