How Did You Break Into The Industry / Your First Job
My first big internship was this past 2015 summer working at Team One in Los Angeles working as a Media Planner for the digital and print Lexus Client for about 4 months. I was also part of the Multicultural Adverting Internship Program (part of the 4 A's) in which I helped develop a campaign with Weiden + Kennedy for their Nike account. These project lasted about 5 months ending at the end with ceremony in New York City called Face of Talent (presented by the 4 A's).
Long Term Career Goal
I currently live in Austin; however, my long term goal is to end up working in the Advertising world in Dallas, Texas. I have been fascinated by what Dallas has to offer for the advertising industry and I want to be part of such opportunity. Having worked in Media Planning for Lexus in Los Angeles made me realize that I need to live in a big city if I want to reach my highest potential in the networking that the media planning positions requires. One day I want to be a Media Director that gets promoted to the leadership board of a company becoming the Executive Director of Accounts. Doing this will unite my passion for media planning and the brand management I have always worked for.
