How Did You Break Into The Industry / Your First Job
Sixteen, wide-eyed, and broke I applied for the Sales Associate position at Forever 21 where oddly enough most of the employees were well into their thirty's. My first day was a blur being that I was aimlessly running in circles trying to do my job as well as others. Being bombarded by thrifty mothers and young people became more than what I believed I could handle. I came, I worked 15 hours, and I quit after about 2 months. Hellish as it all seemed, and at times was, it taught me that if you want money you have to work for it. That summer I learned the true value of the word "work" and took my retail talents to Calvin Klein the following summer.
Long Term Career Goal
I don't know. It's crazy to me how some people can be so early into their lives and know exactly what they want to do with the rest of it. However, I know for a fact that I want to be in advertising. Unfortunately I despise being in front of a computer skipping meals and quality bed time in Adbobe Suite. I would much rather skip meals and quality bed time hoovering over a notebook. As of right now, I want to either be a copywriter or an account manager.
