How Did You Break Into The Industry / Your First Job
As a spoken word artist without a manager branding was everything. Before social media really took off I navigated those online spaces creating content, cross channel marketing and copywriting all before I chose Advertising as my major in college. After graduating I worked with the Mayors Office ( Bloomberg) doing social media and external affairs for nonprofits.
Long Term Career Goal
My long term career goal is to ultimately do what I want. If I want to produce video content, bam. If I want to write TV spots, done. If I want to pull an 'Oprah' and truly be successful with everything I invest my time and resources in, then so be it. As a creative and natural born hybrid of digital meets experiential, I hate hearing "you can't do both" or "are you sure you want to do that". It's like everyone wants you to think outside the box but no one ever leaves it. I wish to use my resources to live life to it's fullest and help other leave that box. That's not a career but a life goal of mine.
